At-Home HPV Testing Triples Cervical Cancer Screening Participation

A study by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center found that mailing at-home self-sampling kits for HPV testing significantly increases cervical cancer screening participation in underserved populations. The trial, presented at the American Association for Cancer Research meeting, revealed that self-sampling nearly tripled screening rates compared to traditional provider-performed screening.
