HPV Self-Sampling: A Highly Acceptable Alternative for Cervical Cancer Screening

A study in Hong Kong by Ngu, SF., Lau, L.S., Chan, C.Y. et al., published in BMC Public Health, found that HPV self-sampling is highly acceptable for cervical cancer screening, especially among women who have been under-screened. By comparing face-to-face recruitment with online recruitment methods, the study demonstrated a higher overall uptake rate of 68.9% with 91.1% of participants expressing willingness to use self-sampling again.
