Memorandum on the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research

President Biden is launching a White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research, led by First Lady Jill Biden and the White House Gender Policy Council. The initiative aims to address the longstanding underfunding and underrepresentation of women in health research, leading to significant gaps in understanding women-specific conditions. Dr. Carolyn Mazure will chair the initiative, coordinating efforts to improve women's health research across federal agencies. The initiative will deliver concrete recommendations within 45 days, focusing on priority areas and engaging the scientific, private sector, and philanthropic communities to drive innovation. The goal is to pioneer discoveries and improve the lives of millions of women through transformative investments and collaborative efforts. Read more here, and check out the fact sheet here.
